In Lithuania, the log home manufacturing and construction business is carried out by more than 50 companies with legal status, along with a similar number of individuals operating as sole proprietors. Interestingly, all of them have orders and work. However, only some of them pay state taxes honestly and strive to maintain their staff, while others take advantage of loopholes in the log home industry to work and earn solely for themselves.
We would like to believe that every log home manufacturer and builder in Lithuania knows their craft very well and delivers only high-quality log buildings to both the Lithuanian and international markets.
Quality
Some say that in Lithuania, you are forced to charge higher rates, while others argue that Lithuanian customers care little about quality and are mainly focused on low prices…
However, a log house, sauna, or any other log building is not just walls made of horizontally stacked logs (sienojai); it is much more than that. A log building is considered properly and professionally constructed and ready for use only when all technical requirements are met at every stage – during design, production, and on the construction site.
Qualified craftsmen
Therefore, seeing the issues in this field, the Log House Manufacturers Association will strive to unite all individuals and companies engaged in this business. It will guide them in the right direction, towards producing high-quality log buildings. The association will help familiarize them with technical requirements and inform the public not only about companies and craftsmen who work neatly and with quality, but also about manufacturers and builders with poor reputations.
It is ultimately up to the manufacturers and builders themselves to attract potential clients with competitive pricing and high-quality work. The association will serve only as a supporting body—publicizing, informing, and monitoring the industry.
Members of the Association
We will strive for the Association’s members to be trusted more than individual companies or craftsmen… With the Association’s support, the “Technical Requirements for the Design, Production, and Construction of Log Houses” will be formalized, and inspection work will be carried out. Through the Association’s initiative, a qualification program will be implemented, and certificates will be issued confirming that a member of the Lithuanian Log House Manufacturers Association directly adheres to the state standard. This will strengthen the quality of work and enhance the reputation and prestige of the Association’s members.
The client themselves must decide which company or manufacturer/builder to choose, and if necessary, they can confidently turn to the Log House Association for information, advice, consultation, or assistance…
